Delicately plump lips that appear hydrated and shapely have become a sure sign of beauty, wellness and youth like never before – not to mention being key to a captivating smile. But many of us feel let down by our own.
Do you find yourself wishing for slightly fuller lips? Or, do you have an obvious lip asymmetry? Perhaps your lips vanish from sight when you smile or they’re simply becoming thinner due to ageing, causing your lipstick to ‘bleed’?
There’s a plethora of reasons our patients come to us for lip augmentation treatment. The good news is that expertly injected hyaluronic acid-based fillers can effectively boost volume lost or absent, add structure and entice moisture to the tissues, while finely accentuating natural lip contours as well as improving the appearance of ‘smokers’ lines’ above the mouth.
In our opinion, the perfect lips do not look tampered with. We respect each individual’s lip anatomy and never push beyond these limits: they have to look like the patient was born with them.
That’s why Dr Joshua uses the Nonsurgical Lip Tubercule (NLT) technique to achieve that coveted, perfect and natural smile. This procedure for lip filler injections, pioneered by Dr Harris, works with the lip tubercles to bring out the individual’s natural ideal lip type.
Will my lips look perfect straight away?
You should expect your lips to swell to begin with, particularly in the morning after your lip filler injections. They should start to settle within a week, on average, with your final result visible at the four-week mark when the lip filler product has fully integrated.
