The temples may go largely unnoticed and under-appreciated but we think you’ll be amazed by the significant improvement an augmenting temple filler treatment can make in helping our faces catch the light in youthful aspect.
Untreated, sunken temples can make us look disproportionately older without it being immediately obvious why. The impact of their concavity – caused by gradual volume loss over years – breaks-up light reflection along the forehead and cheekbone making our upper face look less pleasing, tired and shadowy.
But a smidgen of expertly-injected filler here silences these otherwise tell-tale parts and stealthily reverses that unwelcome hollowed-out appearance.
Recreating this ageless volume will also help support the tail of the eyebrows if they’re appearing descended, droopy and heavy. The treatment can also promote a more balanced shape in those of us with an otherwise long and narrow face.
As a specialist in non-surgical eye rejuvenation treatments, Dr Joshua is adept in carefully injecting this area.
What does temple filler do?
As is the goal with most facial injectables, treating the temporal area helps to improve the overall proportions, youthfulness and definition of the face.
Do the injections hurt?
Temple filler is a relatively pain-free procedure with anaesthetic in the product. It involves slow injections down to the bone using a microcannula.
How much filler does it take to fill the temples?
This varies from one person to another and depends on the degree of the volume loss in the area. It can range from 1ml to 3mls, but no more than 3mls in a single session. If more than one treatment is required, we will recommend that you wait at least a month between treatments.
Will filler in the temples lift the eyes?
No filler can lift, but with improved fullness, support and smoothness, this treatment can help give the appearance of improved shape, younger and gently lifted eyes.
