Dr Joshua Van der Aa has been the face of our clinic since it opened in 2020 breaking new ground as the youngest aesthetics expert in Harley Street to own his own practice.

He is the medical director and our sole practising doctor, an outspoken campaigner for natural-looking results whose work is dedicated to no-tell, delicate enhancements and to restoring balance, youth and harmony to what Mother Nature gave us.

In five years in aesthetics, he has tweaked, rejuvenated or repaired more than 8,000 faces and his reputation has spread way beyond the UK and his native Belgium as his growing list sees patients fly in regularly from as far as New York and Qatar in search of the artful and near-imperceptible results he delivers.

Background
Dr Joshua qualified as a medical doctor in 2017 with a Master’s in Medicine from KU Leuven University in Belgium, ranked as one of Europe’s finest and widely regarded as the continent’s leading light in terms of research.

Injection-focused facial aesthetics have been his passion and profession since he discovered injectables by chance and was instantly captivated by the impact of properly administered non-surgical cosmetic work. So much so, that as an aspiring maxillofacial surgery resident, he cut-short his post-graduate dentistry studies to dedicate himself to it full-time.

Before opening the clinic as we know it today, Dr Joshua worked in two international and award-winning cosmetic clinic groups, with bases in The Netherlands and London.

… and don’t be fooled; while it’s not uncommon for the lilt in his voice to be mistaken for an American accent, he was, in fact, born and raised in the suburbs of Antwerp.

Innovative
He understands just how energised and confident we can feel when our eyes look bright and awake, given this is an area that often betrays us into looking tired and older when really, we’re not.

Treating this delicate, complex part is his specialty and frequently what drives many patients to walk through our door: he is one of the few cosmetic doctors in the UK and Europe skilled in upper eyelid filler for combatting hollowing and A-frame deformities.

He is also the creator of InclinEyes™️, an inventive and unique filler-based treatment for gently reshaping the eyes and position of the brow tails, although tear-trough filler has long-been his most-requested procedure.

Dr Joshua Van der Aa is all about safety, skill and continuous learning to maintain the precision of his work and keep him at the forefront of aesthetic practice and thinking. That’s why he’s a regular attendee on the professional training circuit, taking part in advanced-skill masterclasses as well as major international conferences, including the AMWC in Monaco and IMCAS in Paris. He is respected by globally-renown surgeons and practitioners in his field often accepting invitations to shadow them at work.

After hours
Away from the clinic, Dr Joshua enjoys fine dining – frequenting many of London’s most celebrated restaurants – time with friends, shopping and foreign travel; he also hopes to spend more time exploring the British Isles. He is keen on fitness and a range of outdoor sports including snowboarding and skiing. During his time in medical school, he captained Belgium’s national side in American Football for three years.
